Overview
Pungalina Station is now open for its final season and as it will change hands at the end of the dry season 2008, now is the time to think of visiting Pungalina. As seen on Getaway a few weeks ago, it is a 500,000-acre wilderness with a comfortable fully accommodated safari camp for 12 guests. Escape the crowds and enjoy the various guided activities at Pungalina including thermal springs, magnificient limestone caves, barramundi fishing, canoeing, gorges, bird watching and more. Be taken around the property in the unusual Pungalina Billy Cart that is an open air vehicle for 11 passengers. All tours, boats, canoes and fishing gear provided. Liquor is available for purchase as Pungalina has its own liquor license.
The best way is to arrive by charter flight or your own aircraft as we have a 1300m strip, otherwise drive in by 4 wheel drive up the 64km driveway. Charter flights ex Melbourne are available over the next six months. These are seven-day air tours with four days at Pungalina and are the best way to access the property. They are operated by Kirkhope Aviation from Melbourne.
