The Owners and Founders Eduard Christensen with his wife and seven children started the Mallín Colorado Ecolodge as a family dream. Year by year they themselves receive and attend guests from all over the world in the four cabins they still have. No plans to be bigger than that!! "We are an adventurous family hosting adventurous families in our private ecolodge."

Builder, Landscaper and Marketer Eduardo Junior built every log cabin taking special care in the selection of the materials to be sustainable and environment-friendly. Anita grew a huge garden in the park selecting native flowers from everywhere in Carretera Austral. Paula developed all Marketing strategies and now also receive and attend every visit in the lodge from November to March.

The Staff at Mallin Colorado Local people are our most valuable resource to develop in the lodge, they have learnt their own skills with us. Gastronomy and guiding are attended by professionals from Santiago, the capital city in Chile, who live in the lodge for five months. Voluntary students also stay with us several weeks to help in general things.

Zorro, Our Patagonian Gaucho Zorro lives in Mallín Coloardo all year round and he is our Patagonian Gaucho, loves the horses, the Lamb barbecue preparation and burn the fire very early in the morning.
